Syringe Access

The Syringe Access Fund is a national philanthropic collaborative formed in 2004 to prevent HIV/AIDS and Hepatitis C transmission by increasing access to sterile syringes through direct services and policy work. Funders participating in the Syringe Access Fund include the National AIDS Fund, Elton John AIDS Foundation, Levi Strauss Foundation, Irene Diamond Fund and Tides Foundation. The Syringe Access Fund has conducted three grant rounds for a combined total of over $3M in grants to community-based organizations and policy advocacy groups.
